There goes nothing! This is the first post ever published on smol.pub. Well, technically there have been posts published before that, but this one is the first one to go on a live journal. So I'm thrilled!
For those who don't know me, I've created the Midnight Pub over a year ago. It's a virtual pub where anyone can go and unwind after a long day. It's an internet message board that's made to post and interact.
Smol.pub is a direct fork from the Midnight Pub's source code and serves a slightly different purpose: instead of talking to people in a pub, it holds your own journal. It's not there to be your homepage, but simply to make it simple for you to write in your journal, and for that journal to be accessible over the web, gopher and gemini, and maybe someday other protocols?
While the Midnight allows you to set a theme for the pub, smol.pub allows you to set a theme for your journal directly. And while the midnight refers to posts by ID, on smol.pub there are slugs.
